Celtic have reportedly stolen a march on rivals Rangers in the battle to sign Trabzonspor striker Pawel Brozek.
The Polish international, 28, was believed to have been on the verge of signing for Rangers last week, but a Trabzonspor statement has suggested that Celtic are now in pole position to secure the loan move.
"The negotiations which will be made in the aim of loaning our professional footballer Pawel Brozek to the Scottish club Celtic until the end of the current season are beginning," read the statement.
Brozek has scored three goals in 24 appearances for the Turkish club since joining from Wisla Krakow in 2010.
