Defender Marcos Alonso has called on Chelsea to change their "attitude" during their remaining nine matches in the Premier League.
On Sunday afternoon, Chelsea succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at Manchester City, with the Blues failing to test goalkeeper Ederson throughout the 90 minutes as well as frequently keeping 10 men behind the ball.
Antonio Conte's tactics have come in for criticism, and Alonso has acknowledged that Chelsea produced a below-par display at the Etihad Stadium.
The 27-year-old told Cope: "The team had the conditions and quality to play much better, and I don't think we were at our best.
"I think it's an attitude problem and we have to make things clearer and improve quickly, because we have nine matches left and we want to be in the top four. I think that it is difficult, but we have to change the attitude, right?"
Chelsea sit five points adrift of fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur in the top-flight standings.
