Chelsea, West Ham United fined by FA after admitting misconduct charge

The Football Association fines Chelsea and West Ham United £50,000 and £40,000 respectively after both clubs admitted charges of misconduct.

The Football Association has fined Chelsea and West Ham United £50,000 and £40,000 respectively for failing to control their players during last month's Premier League match at Upton Park.

Both clubs admitted FA charges of misconduct and have been "severely warned as to their future conduct".

The ill-tempered contest finished 2-1 in West Ham's favour after Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic was sent off shortly before half time.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho and coach Silvino Louro were both sent from the dugout for the second half after clashing with referee Jonathan Moss.
