Frank Lampard has branded Manchester City favourites to win the Premier League title this season.
The 37-year-old played for the Citizens in a loan spell last season after ending his 13 years at Chelsea to join MLS side New York City, but had to watch as his former team claimed the top-flight crown.
However, the Blues have struggled immensely this term, leaving City and Arsenal as the leading contenders win the Premier League, but Lampard feels that Manuel Pellegrini's men have the edge.
He told Sky Sports News: "At the start of the season, I'd have put them and Chelsea as favourites. Obviously it's going to be too big an ask for Chelsea now, and Arsenal are the other ones I'd probably put as favourites.
"But City do have the strongest squad and with [Sergio] Aguero and [David] Silva coming back at some stage, they're the team to beat."
City are ahead of the Gunners in top spot on goal difference after 11 matches this season.
