Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has hailed the impact of new signing Radamel Falcao in pre-season.
The Colombian striker joined the Blues on a season-long loan from Monaco just a few months after a similar spell at Manchester United failed to work.
Mourinho insists that he can restore Falcao to his best form, and admits that the 29-year-old has already had a big effect.
He is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News: "I'm very happy with his first week. I like him a lot as a player. The team play very well with a striker of his quality. He's not just a guy that can score a goal, he can also contribute a lot to the quality of the game.
"I was not expecting him to come here, play 20 minutes against Barcelona and score three goals. I was waiting for his determination to work, to help the team and to understand the way we play football. For the moment we are happy."
Falcao could make his debut against Arsenal in the Community Shield tomorrow.
