Nemanja Matic: 'Chelsea fired up for Liverpool clash'

Nemanja Matic insists that Chelsea will be fired up for their Premier League clash with Liverpool despite already winning the title.

Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic has insisted that the newly-crowned Premier League champions will not be complacent against Liverpool this weekend.

The Blues welcome Liverpool to Stamford Bridge on Sunday having already wrapped up the title last weekend with a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Despite having nothing to play for, Matic has made it clear that he and his teammates will be fired up for their encounter with the Merseysiders.

"We will be prepared for those," he told the club's official website. "Of course we don't have the pressure of needing to win the league anymore, we are first whatever, but we will play seriously and try to enjoy the games we have left. We have done a great job this season and we want to carry on like that until the end."

Matic has scored three goals in 46 appearances for Chelsea so far this season.
