Chelsea captain John Terry predicts "very tough" Premier League title race

John Terry admits that it will be "very tough" for Chelsea to win the Premier League title this season.

Chelsea captain John Terry has admitted that this season's Premier League title race will be "very tough".

The Blues got their campaign off to a winning start on Monday night with a 3-1 victory away to newcomers Burnley.

While claiming that it will be difficult for Chelsea to be crowned champions this term, Terry was pleased that his side came out of their opening fixture with three points.

"We're hoping to win the Premier League - that's our target this season," he is quoted as saying by Goal.com. "It's going to be very tough.

"We've seen some quality play over the weekend from many teams but it was important we picked up three points and now we move on to the next one."

Chelsea play their first home game of the season on Saturday when Leicester City visit Stamford Bridge.
