Wigan Athletic owner Dave Whelen calls on Victor Moses to show some loyalty by committing his future to the Latics.

Wigan Athletic owner Dave Whelan has claimed that wantaway forward Victor Moses should show the Lancashire club some loyalty.

The 21-year-old winger joined the Latics from Crystal Palace in February 2010 for a transfer fee of £2.5m and he has since made 72 Premier League appearances.

Chelsea have had an offer for Moses rejected and Wigan have offered the player a new contract to extend his stay at the DW Stadium.

Whelan said: "We took this lad as a teenager and everything he has he owes to Roberto Martinez and Wigan Athletic."

Moses's agent Tony Finnigan responded: "All I will say is - How did Vic end up at Wigan, when he could have gone to Manchester City? Who took him to Wigan?"

There are 12 months remaining on Moses's current contract, which is understood to be worth around £18,000 per week.
