Chelsea are reportedly nearing an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for German attacker Kai Havertz.
The 21-year-old enjoyed another impressive season for his Bundesliga club in 2019-20, scoring 18 times and contributing nine assists in 45 appearances in all competitions.
Chelsea have been strongly linked with the Germany international in recent months, although it had been thought that the Blues were struggling to agree a fee with Leverkusen.
According to The Guardian, further talks between the two clubs were held on Wednesday, and Frank Lampard's side are now 'closing in' on the signing of the youngster.
The report claims that Havertz is valued by his current side in the region of €100m (£90m), but an agreement involving various add-ons and bonuses is expected to be agreed between the two clubs.
Chelsea have already boosted their attack ahead of the 2020-21 campaign with the signings of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner from Ajax and RB Leipzig respectively.
