Chelsea closing in on Robert Green deal?

Chelsea are ready to make a move for goalkeeper Robert Green after Queens Park Rangers' relegation from the Premier League, according to a report.

Chelsea are reportedly stepping up their pursuit of Robert Green following Queens Park Rangers' relegation from the Premier League.

The 35-year-old is said to be Jose Mourinho's first choice to replace Petr Cech as the number two goalkeeper at Stamford Bridge, should the Czech international secure a move away as expected.

According to the London Evening Standard, the Premier League champions will make an approach for Green this summer.

The former England international has been in impressive form for QPR this season, despite them having the worst defensive record in the top flight.

Green's current deal at QPR expires next summer.
