Report: Chelsea to launch bid for Porto midfielder Ruben Neves

Chelsea will reportedly attempt to sign teenage midfielder Ruben Neves from Porto next year.

Chelsea have reportedly targeted a £29m move for Porto midfielder Ruben Neves next year.

The 18-year-old is said to have caught the eye after helping Porto defeat the Blues 2-1 in Tuesday night's Champions League match.

The release clause in his contract is £29m and, according to the Evening Standard, Chelsea are seriously considering a bid next summer to bring the Portugal Under-21 international to the Premier League.

Neves made his professional debut for Porto last season and has appeared 40 times in all competitions for the Primeira Liga outfit since.
