Everton 'to move for Michy Batshuayi next week'

Everton will launch a £40m bid for Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi next week, according to a report.

Everton will reportedly launch a £40m bid for Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi next week.

Batshuayi spent the first half of the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Valencia, but he managed just one La Liga goal for the former Spanish champions and has been sent back to Stamford Bridge.

The 25-year-old is seemingly not in plans of Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri and Monaco had been linked with a loan move for the Belgium international.

However, it is understood that Chelsea are keen to sell the striker on a permanent deal this month.

According to The Sun, Everton are desperate to land Batshuayi due to their troubles in the final third of the field, which will lead to a £40m bid being made next week.

Batshuayi has scored 19 times in 53 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions.
