Jose Mourinho rules out Marco Reus move

Jose Mourinho says that Marco Reus will not be a Chelsea player this time next season.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that he has no intention of signing Borussia Dortmund ace Marco Reus.

The German will be available for £20m in the summer due to a buyout clause in his Dortmund contract.

Consequently, a host of elite clubs have been linked with a swoop - including Manchester United and Arsenal - and Mourinho says that he will not be actively pursuing the 25-year-old.

"We don't want Marco Reus," he told reporters ahead of tonight's Champions League clash away to Schalke 04.

"The market is closed and the player belongs to Borussia. We have top players in this position. We are not interested, not at all."

Reus, whose Dortmund contract expires in 2017, is expected to be out until January after suffering an ankle injury in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Paderborn.

The Blues sit top of the Premier League table and remain heavy favourites to win the title, with bookmakers Paddy Power already paying out on a Chelsea triumph in May.
