Frank Lampard 'considers' leaving Chelsea for MLS

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard suggests that he is pondering a move to the MLS when his current Blues contract expires next year.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has sparked speculation that he could be closing in on a switch to Major League Soccer by claiming that he 'wouldn't rule it out'.

The 34-year-old, who has been previously linked with a switch to the United States, was pictured watching Los Angeles Galaxy alongside former England teammate David Beckham during the playmaker's holiday this summer.

"I am not sure [about a future in MLS]," said Lampard. "I have another year on my contract at Chelsea and we have a big season ahead of us with the Super Cup and the Club World Cup in December.

"It's up to Chelsea to speak with me about my future and at that time, I'll speak with them. I wouldn't rule anything out at the moment."

Lampard moved to Stamford Bridge from West Ham United in 2001.
