Nathan Ake has insisted that he does not regret his decision to sign for Chelsea.
The 20-year-old joined the Blues from Feyenoord at the age of 16 in 2011, but he has failed to earn a regular first-team spot at Stamford Bridge and has been loaned out to Watford for the season.
Ake, who has made three appearances so far for the Hornets, has said that he does not rue leaving Feyenoord at such a young age.
"I have been criticised over the years for choosing Chelsea," the Netherlands Under-21 international told Voetbal International.
"However, I have no regrets until this day, about the transfer. In fact, I would do it again. I have played in the Chelsea youth teams and then trained with some of the best players in the world. I can develop myself perfectly here.
"The club have also expressed confidence in me by offering me a new contract until 2020."
Ake has made 12 senior appearances for Chelsea.
