Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering an offer for Gonzalo Higuain, despite Chelsea being in advanced talks for the Juventus striker.
The Blues are understood to have met with the Argentina international's agent earlier this week to discuss personal terms on a move to Stamford Bridge.
Higuain is well known to new Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri, having scored 36 goals in 35 Serie A appearances at Napoli prior to his big-money move to Juve two years ago.
According to Corriere della Sera, however, the West London outfit have yet to formally table an offer, and Tottenham could be about to pounce.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is said to be after a new striker to provide competition for Harry Kane, with Vincent Janssen and Fernando Llorente failing to impress.
Juve are hoping to recoup £53m for Higuain - who has netted 55 times in just 105 matches for the Turin giants - following the recent high-profile arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.
