Eddie Howe has highlighted Crystal Palace as the club that his Bournemouth side should look to "emulate".
Having been promoted to the Premier League in 2013, the Eagles have finished the last two seasons in 11th and 10th position.
Ahead of the meeting between the two teams at Dean Court on Boxing Day, Alan Pardew's Palace are sixth, level on points with fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
With that in mind, Howe has admitted that the progressive South Londoners have set an example for his recently-promoted Cherries to follow.
"We very much respect Crystal Palace and the work that Alan Pardew has done there. They will prove a tough test," he told reporters.
"They're a club that we look at and would like to emulate. They are run very well and now stable in the Premier League."
Bournemouth go into the clash against Palace on the back of three straight wins against Chelsea, Manchester United and West Bromwich Albion.
