Crystal Palace sporting director Iain Moody has revealed that he is "honoured" to be working at the club after leaving Cardiff City.
Moody departed Cardiff under acrimonious circumstances last month following a successful two-year spell in the Welsh capital.
"I'd been speaking to [chairman] Steve Parish for a period of weeks since I left Cardiff and was very impressed with the way he presented himself and presented the future of the club," Moody told the Eagles' official website.
"The club has probably not been in ruder health than it is now in terms of finances, in terms of owning the stadium, the training ground and being in the Premier League so it was a fantastic opportunity.
"I was very flattered and honoured that Steve asked me to play a part in trying to help keep moving things forward. I can't wait to get my teeth into it."
Palace are currently at the bottom of the Premier League table with nine defeats from 11 games.
