Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay has reportedly told Crystal Palace that he has no intentions of moving to Selhurt Park to become their new manager.
The Premier League outfit have been scouting a number of candidates following the departure of Ian Holloway, who left the club over three weeks ago.
It is understood that Mackay was approached after Palace poached former Cardiff head of recruitment Iain Moody.
However, the Scotsman instantly declined the offer, insisting that he is determined to keep Cardiff in the top flight, according to The Metro.
Interm boss Keith Millen has admitted that he is "surprised" by how long the club are taking to appoint a new boss.
