Crystal Palace striker Kevin Phillips has revealed that he has been given permission by manager Tony Pulis to leave the Premier League outfit in January.
Phillips has not featured for the Eagles since the arrival of Pulis, and the veteran forward has admitted that he is keen for more starts during the final months of his career.
The 40-year-old told reporters: "I've had a chat with the manager and I will be leaving in January.
"I've been travelling for nearly two-and-a-half years and I want to find a club nearer home. I want to be playing football for the last three or four months of my career.
"I've had a chat with the manager and he's fine with that. So yes, I'll be moving on."
Phillips netted the goal that earned Crystal Palace a 1-0 victory against Watford last season to earn the club promotion to the Premier League.
