Everton boss Roberto Martinez backs squad to cope

Everton boss Roberto Martinez says that the squad is big enough to cope with playing in the Europa League this season.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has insisted that his squad is big enough to cope with the Europa League this season.

The Toffees ran out 3-1 winners away to Burnley on Sunday, three days after securing a goalless draw with Lille.

Two goals from Samuel Eto'o and a Romelu Lukaku strike earned the Merseyside outfit all three points at Turf Moor.

"The squad is big enough to deal with [playing lots of games] and I am really pleased with that," Clubcall.com quotes Martinez as saying.

"What Samuel Eto'o brings is incredible experience but with that is also a great hunger. He is a terrific example to have him around. He is a clinical finisher. He knows how to hurt back fours. He first touch is with the thought of what he is going to do next."

Everton have moved up to ninth in the Premier League with the win.
