Everton are reportedly confident that midfielder Marouane Fellaini will stay at the club if the Toffees can offer Champions League football next season.

Everton are reportedly confident that they can keep midfielder Marouane Fellaini at Goodison Park, despite reports of a possible exit.

The Belgium international is believed to have a £22m release clause, which Premier League rivals Chelsea are thought to be keen on triggering.

Despite the escape route, Everton believe that Fellaini will opt to stay on Merseyside if the club reach a Champions League spot by the end of the season, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Reports have claimed that Chelsea's approach for Fellaini, who signed a new contract with the Toffees in 2011, will come in the summer as opposed to this month.
