Phil Jagielka hopeful of January arrivals at Everton

Phil Jagielka believes that Everton's form will attract new players to the club in the January transfer window.

Everton defender Phil Jagielka believes that the Merseyside outfit can attract new players in the January transfer window.

The Toffees are currently fifth in the Premier League table having taken 31 points from 16 games so far this season.

"We have got ourselves into a good position and if we pick up a few more wins before January it will make us a more attractive team for players," the Liverpool Daily Post quotes Jagielka as saying.

"The transfer market is always difficult as we do not have vast funds, but if the manager can bring in some players then the boys already here will be thankful for that. Hopefully, we can keep our best players here for the rest of the season and bring in some more."

Everton will take on Swansea City on Sunday.
