Everton manager Roberto Martinez has revealed that Brendan Galloway will be offered a new contract at Goodison Park.
Reports had suggested that the 19-year-old was in line for an extension to his current terms following his breakthrough into the senior side over recent weeks.
When asked about the speculation, Martinez confirmed to the Liverpool Echo: "Brendan is like any other youngster at the football club, and we have very specific programs in terms of trying to fulfil their potential.
"It is fair to say that Brendan is ahead of that program, and he has surprised everybody in the manner he has faced the opportunity of playing in the first team.
"We always say that when a player gets ahead of his program, we want to look into rewarding the player with a new contract."
The defender has started four of Everton's five Premier League matches this term.
