Everton reportedly fear that Romelu Lukaku will force a move away from the club in the transfer window this summer.
The Belgium international has scored 21 goals in 33 appearances in all competitions for the Merseyside outfit this season, but has been linked with an exit.
Lukaku has previously been rumoured to be a Manchester United target, and the striker has spoken of a desire to play Champions League football numerous times.
At the weekend it was announced that the Merseyside club have agreed a takeover with Iranian businessman Farhad Moshiri, who has purchased 49.9% of the club from current chairman Bill Kenwright.
According to The Mirror, the new shareholder intends to make up to £100m available to spend on players, but there are concerns that Lukaku will try to instigate a move elsewhere at the end of the season.
The forward signed a permanent deal at Everton from Chelsea in 2014.
