The four names in the running to be named League One's Manager of the Month for August are Graham Alexander, Paul Cook, Steve Cotterill and Darren Ferguson.
Alexander's Fleetwood Town have begun life in the third tier well, picking up 11 points in an unbeaten start and conceding just two goals.
Also promoted last season from League Two were Chesterfield, and Cook has guided the Spireites to 10 points from their opening five games, including an impressive opening-day win at last year's beaten playoff finalists Leyton Orient.
Cotterill's Bristol City began the season in fine fashion by winning away at Sheffield United and the Robins are still unbeaten a month into the season.
Peterborough United boss Ferguson's side are setting the early pace with four wins from five games.
The winner will be announced on Friday.
