Preview: Southampton vs. Fulham

Sports Mole previews Fulham's trip to Southampton, who have only won one of their six games since returning to the Premier League.

Martin Jol is likely to be without Dimitar Berbatov for Fulham's trip to Southampton this weekend, when the hosts will be looking for just their second win since returning to the Premier League.

The Bulgarian missed last Saturday's final-minute defeat to Manchester City with a hip injury, which could also keep him out of the visit to St. Mary's.

In his absence, Mladen Petric may continue alongside Hugo Rodallega in attack, while former Greece captain Giorgos Karagounis could start for the first time since joining the Cottagers on a free transfer.

Southampton have picked up just three points so far this season and manager Nigel Adkins will have highlighted this Sunday to add to that tally when they welcome Fulham, who have been notoriously poor travellers in recent years.

The Saints boss is expected to continue with the 4-4-2 system he used in their 3-1 loss to Everton last time out, with Jay Rodriguez partnering top-scorer Rickie Lambert up front.

Record signing Gaston Ramirez opened his Saints account against the Toffees and will provide support for the strike pair.

Sports Mole says: 3-1
