Jason Denayer: 'Galatasaray can qualify'

Jason Denayer backs Galatasaray to recover from their defeat on matchday one by qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Jason Denayer has insisted that Galatasaray "have the power and the quality" to advance through to the knockout stages of the Champions League.

The Turkish outfit are currently rooted to the bottom of Group C following their 2-0 defeat at the hands of 2014 finalists Atletico Madrid on matchday one.

However, ahead of Wednesday's trip to Astana, the Manchester City loanee has stressed that there is enough ability in the Gala squad for them to extend their interest in the competition beyond Christmas.

"The UEFA Champions League has a completely different feel because the best teams take part in this competition and you face sides from various countries. We have the power and the quality to qualify from this group," the 20-year-old told reporters.

The Istanbul-based outfit have progressed to the last 16 or further in two of the previous three campaigns.
