Hull City winger Ahmed Elmohamady has insisted that his side cannot afford to keep making costly mistakes in their battle for survival in the Premier League.
The Tigers were made to rue defensive errors in their last two matches - losses to West Ham United and West Bromwich Albion - which have seen them drop into the relegation zone in the top flight.
Elmohamady told the club's official website: "When you look at last Sunday's game at West Ham, you can see that it was the little mistakes we made that were the difference. At Premier League level, you can't afford to be making these mistakes but unfortunately they sometimes happen in football.
"Every goal can be traced back to a mistake and what we have to do is learn from the mistakes that we've made, improve and keep going. I know myself that I should have scored at West Ham and we had three or four other good chances as well, but then West Ham went on to be the better team and took their chances.
"It was a disappointing day, especially with the additional injuries that we picked up as well. But again, that is something that we have to adjust to and hopefully we don't pick up any more bad injuries before the end of the season. I'm sure we will be okay."
The Tigers are next in action in the Premier League against Newcastle United on January 31 following their exit from the FA Cup in the third round.
