Fiorentina striker Giuseppe Rossi has stated his eagerness to play alongside Mario Balotelli for Italy.
The La Viola forward was recalled to the Azzurri squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Denmark and Armenia, and the former Manchester United man said that he can forge a strong partnership with Balotelli.
"Everyone knows Balotelli's characteristics and that he is a great player, but I think I can play alongside any of the forwards in this squad," Rossi told reporters.
"We'll certainly have the chance to do well together. We don't see each other as opposites. We are friends, as we are with everyone in the side.
"I believe in my qualities and, when playing with teammates like mine at Fiorentina, it all becomes easier. This is why I've been able to play so well recently."
Rossi was part of the Fiorentina side that drew 0-0 with Lazio on Sunday evening.
