Half-Time Report: Juventus being held by Atalanta BC

Juventus and Atalanta play out a goalless first half in their Serie A encounter this evening.

Newly-crowned Serie A champions Juventus have been held to a goalless first half of their match against Atalanta BC this evening.

The hosts came close to breaking the deadlock after 10 minutes when Sebastian Giovinco found space to shoot on the edge of the box, only to fire his effort narrowly past the post.

Pablo Osvaldo was the next to threaten for Juventus as he also let fly from just outside the area, but this time the shot flew too high and whistled over the bar.

Osvaldo came close again in the 26th minute with a header that drew a good stop from Andrea Consigli, while Paul Pogba planted a header of his own narrowly wide moments later.

Neither side could break the deadlock before the referee blew the half-time whistle, however, as the two teams went in all square.
