Didier Deschamps wants to see more from Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba can take another step up in quality by improving his "consistency and efficiency", according to France manager Didier Deschamps.

France manager Didier Deschamps has urged Paul Pogba to become 'more efficient' on the ball in order to justify his tag as one of the world's best players.

The 22-year-old remained at Juventus during the summer despite heavy speculation linking him with Real Madrid and Chelsea.

It has been a slow start to the campaign for Pogba, whose side currently languish down in 12th place in the Serie A table, and Deschamps now wants to see his key player improve his all-round contribution.

"It's important to say first that [Pogba is] already at a great level," he is quoted as saying by FourFourTwo. "The question is now in term of his consistency and efficiency.

"He's capable of technical moves that will make all the fans to get up. I have no problem with that but it has to match with efficiency

"That's not always the case. I do not want that he stops doing what he does. He creates a lot. If he could improve something it would be more efficiency."

France, who automatically qualify for next year's Euro 2016 finals on home soil, take on Armenia and Denmark in back-to-back friendlies over the next week.
