Huddersfield boss Lee Clark rules himself out of the running for the Leicester City job.

Huddersfield manager Lee Clark has revealed that he has "no interest" in taking over the top job at Leiecester City.

The 39-year-old had been considered the strong favourite to take over from Sven-Goran Eriksson, who left the club last week, but has now admitted that he is happy enough with the Terriers, currently second in League One.

"We have woken up to another round of media speculation this morning regarding me and it is now escalating on a daily basis," Clark said in a statement today.

"Now is the time that I want to put these rumours to an end. Obviously on a personal level it is satisfying to be linked to jobs at clubs in a higher division, but that is all I take from these links. Players get linked to other clubs when they are doing well and you have to take it as a compliment in that sense.

"However, I want to reiterate that I am 100 per cent committed to the owner, the fans and the players at Huddersfield Town and I am totally focused on continuing this magnificent start to the season and getting this club promoted. I am not interested in the Leicester vacancy."

The news comes days after Celtic boss Neil Lennon ruled himself out of the running.
