Leicester City first-team coach Kevin Phillips has described the players' attitude as "fantastic" since returning for pre-season training this week.
The Premier League club remain without a manager following the sacking of Nigel Pearson last week.
"We're really just looking to get them back in and get their legs going," Phillips told Foxes Player. "These days players report back so fit so it's quite easy for us as staff to get them going.
"[The attitude has been] fantastic. Players are so professional in the off-season and all have their programmes to get on with. So when they report back it's fairly easy for us as staff and for the sports science department. The sooner we can get the balls out the better."
Neil Lennon and Sam Allardyce have been linked with the managerial vacancy.
