Leicester City have reportedly beaten West Bromwich Albion to the signature of Islam Slimani from Sporting Lisbon.
The 28-year-old has been linked with the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace in recent transfer windows, but now looks set to complete a move to the Premier League with champions Leicester.
Spanish newspaper AS reports that the Foxes will part with €30m (£25.6m) to bring the attacker to the King Power Stadium, outbidding the Baggies by around £4.3m.
The Algeria international, who scored 29 goals in 43 appearances for Sporting last season, is expected to feature in Sunday's match against fierce rivals Porto despite his impending departure.
Slimani would become Leicester's sixth new signing of the summer as they gear up for a maiden appearance in the Champions League this season.
