Leicester City have reportedly held talks with Real Betis midfielder William Carvalho over a possible summer move to the King Power Stadium.
The 27-year-old was regularly linked with a switch to the Premier League during his time with Sporting Lisbon, but instead opted to join Betis on a five-year deal in 2018.
William has struggled with muscle injuries this season, though, limiting him to only nine appearances across all competitions.
Despite that, Coliseo Verdi Blanco reports that Leicester remain interested in his services and are in a strong position to secure his signature following an initial round of talks.
The Portugal international is thought to be available for around £18m, with his contract at Betis not expiring until 2023.
William was part of the Portugal squad which won Euro 2016 and the inaugural Nations League last year, making 59 appearances for his country in total.
