Jamie Carragher has heavily criticised the attitude of Liverpool's first-team stars after they limped out of the FA Cup following a semi-final defeat to Aston Villa on Sunday.
Philippe Coutinho opened the scoring at Wembley, but goals from Christian Benteke and Fabian Delph resulted in a 2-1 triumph for the Midlands outfit.
After the result, Carragher, who spent 17 years playing for Liverpool, took to Twitter to criticise the players and suggested that Raheem Sterling's reported wage demands are "ridiculous" considering his semi-final performance.
Carragher wrote: "Big games need big players to do big things. Not many of them at Lfc which make wages demands of some ridiculous & the recruitment worse."
Liverpool's trophyless season is likely to end without a Champions League spot as the Reds are currently seven points behind fourth-placed Manchester City.
