Rhian Brewster ruled out until December

Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster is ruled out until December with ongoing ankle problems.

Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster has been ruled out until the end of the year with an ankle injury.

The 18-year-old, who has yet to make his senior debut for the Reds, signed a new long-term contract with the club over the summer amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and Borussia Monchengladbach.

Brewster has spent the entire year so far out injured following ankle surgery and was expected to return to training soon ahead of a possible run in the EFL Cup.

According to The Mirror, however, the England Under-18s star has suffered a "setback" in his rehabilitation and Liverpool doctors have now ruled him out until December at the earliest.

Brewster joined the Liverpool youth setup at the age of 14, having previously spent time at the Chelsea academy.
