Sky Sports duo Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher were full of praise for Trent Alexander-Arnold following Liverpool's 3-2 victory over West Ham United at Anfield on Monday.
The 21-year-old contributed two assists as Jurgen Klopp's side came from behind to record an 18th straight league victory, bringing his total assists to 13 in all competitions.
Following the Reds' victory, Neville and Carragher were quick to laud the Englishman for his performance.
"What makes him special is it is like having [Kevin] De Bruyne at right-back, like a midfielder at right-back," Carragher told Sky Sports News.
"People talk about his defending, but what he is doing – like [David] Beckham at wing-back under [Glenn] Hoddle because of his quality – Alexander-Arnold is like a wing-back with the positions he plays."
Neville added: "What staggers me is they don't have two big strikers to hit with loads of headers, but [Sadio] Mane and [Mohamed] Salah score headers because the quality is that good. If the quality is that good and the speed of the run, you are going to get chances, the quality is out of this world."
Klopp's side need only four wins from their last 11 league games to secure their first Premier League title.
