Ex-Liverpool keeper Bruce Grobbelaar: 'Simon Mignolet is worse than Dracula'

Bruce Grobbelaar says that Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet is "worse than Dracula" following a poor start to the season.

Former Liverpool goalkeeper Bruce Grobbelaar has heavily criticised the club's current shot-stopper Simon Mignolet following a poor start to the season for the Reds.

The Merseyside outfit, who have conceded 18 goals so far this season, are experiencing their worst start to a campaign for 22 years.

"He doesn't command his area," Grobbelaar, who won six league titles with Liverpool during his career, told BBC Sport.

"I've likened Mignolet to worse than Dracula because at least Dracula comes out of his coffin now and then. He seems to stay on his line and that's it. That whole area, not just the six-yard area, is the goalkeeper's."

Liverpool are currently 12th in the league table.
