Brendan Rodgers: 'I don't regret Jose Mourinho comments'

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is adamant that he has no regrets over his comments criticising the approach of Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho in the Blues' 2-0 win at Anfield.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has insisted that he does not regret his comments made about Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

The Reds manager blasted the Portuguese for his negative tactics during the Blues' 2-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield last week, which shook up the title race.

Rodgers told reporters: "I was a bit frustrated, but I don't regret what I said. I am big enough to respect the man Jose is and the manager he is.

"He is a great man, I know that. It was never personal; it was a professional look at the game. I am never one to say that my way is always the best way. I have a huge appreciation for the way he works and his team.

"But I still think what I said was right. I knew exactly what I was saying."

Liverpool face Crystal Palace on Monday in their next Premier League outing.
