Juventus are reportedly lining up a £150m move for Liverpool centre-back Virgil van Dijk this summer.
Van Dijk has established himself as arguably the best defender in world football since joining Liverpool for £75m in 2018 - a fee which made him the world's most expensive defender at the time.
The Daily Mail reports that Juventus are willing to dwarf that figure in an effort to prise the Dutchman away from Anfield, though, with the Italian giants preparing a bid of double that amount.
The report claims that Juve believe Van Dijk may want a new challenge should Liverpool win the Premier League title this season, something which looks increasingly inevitable after they opened up an unprecedented 22-point lead at the top of the table with this afternoon's 4-0 win over Southampton.
The 28-year-old has already won the Champions League, European Super Cup and Club World Cup during his time at Liverpool, as well as finishing second in the voting for the 2019 Ballon d'Or.
The Reds would be unwilling to sell one of their star assets, but Juventus are hopeful that a bid of £150m will tempt Jurgen Klopp's side into parting company with the Netherlands international.
Van Dijk has made 106 appearances across all competitions since joining Liverpool, scoring 11 goals.
