RB Leipzig chairman Oliver Mintzlaff is reportedly prepared to grant midfielder Naby Keita his wish of joining Liverpool if a big-money bid is tabled.

Bundesliga club RB Leipzig could reportedly buckle and grant Naby Keita his wish of joining Liverpool this summer.

The Reds were informed earlier this week that even a club-record bid may not be enough to prise the 22-year-old away from the Red Bull Arena.

It has become increasingly clear that Keita is keen to join the Merseyside outfit, however, and the messages coming out of Leipzig remain mixed.

Sporting director Ralf Rangnick insisted on Thursday that the club "will definitely not" sell the Guinea international, though the Liverpool Echo suggests that chairman Oliver Mintzlaff will not stand in the player's way if a big bid is tabled.

Liverpool are understood to be prepared to pay up to £70m for Keita, who has yet to return for pre-season training as he was involved in international action last month.
