Liverpool reportedly continue their pursuit of Fulham attacker Fabio Carvalho on transfer deadline day, with a bid of £5m submitted to the Cottagers.

Liverpool have reportedly continued their pursuit of Fulham winger Fabio Carvalho on transfer deadline day.

Jurgen Klopp is said to have identified the 19-year-old as a target for the future, with his contract at Craven Cottage expiring in the summer.

According to Sky Sports News, the Reds have continued to push to capture the Lisbon-born youngster in January, with a bid of £5m reportedly submitted to the Championship club who are keen to keep their prospect at the club for the remainder of the campaign.

Such a move would not be Liverpool's first dip into Fulham's youth ranks, having previously captured 18-year-old Harvey Elliott, who became the youngest player to feature in the Premier League while he was turning out for the Cottagers.

Klopp has already added to his attacking ranks in the January transfer window, bringing in Luis Diaz from Porto, with the Colombia international having netted 14 goals in 18 Primeira Liga appearances for the league leaders so far this term.

After breaking into the Fulham first team last season, Carvalho has made 18 Championship appearances this campaign, hitting seven goals and providing four assists.
