Liverpool are reportedly set to include Dejan Lovren in a bid for Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly.
The Reds continue to be strongly linked with the Senegal international, with a recent report claiming that the club want him to partner Virgil van Dijk at the heart of their defence next season.
Manchester City are also believed to be in the running for the former Metz youngster, who is thought to be valued in the region of £90m by his Italian club.
According to Tuttosport, though, the European champions believe that they can lower Napoli's asking price for the 29-year-old by including Lovren as a makeweight.
The Croatia international has only made 10 Premier League appearances for Jurgen Klopp's side this season and will see his contract at Anfield expire next summer.
Lovren has featured once for Liverpool since their return to Premier League action earlier this month, playing as a substitute in their goalless draw with Everton on June 21.
