Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has said that the club is looking at the prospect of a new contract for captain Steven Gerrard.
No deal has been offered by the club as yet, but the Reds boss has lauded the physical condition of Gerrard and his desire to carry on playing despite being 34 years old.
"It is something we are looking at as a club, and with Steven and how he feels," said Rodgers, according to ESPN.
"He is still in a real good physical condition. He's 34, he trains every day, he never needs a day's rest. He wants to work."
Gerrard recently made the decision to retire from international football in an effort to prolong his club career.
