Sunderland's move for Liverpool striker Fabio Borini is reportedly back on after the Black Cats held discussions with the Italian earlier this week.
Borini was the subject of a £14m bid earlier this month, but the forward was said to want to remain at Anfield.
However, the Daily Mail reports that Sunderland have since held further talks with the player and his representatives as they look to conclude a deal.
Borini suffered a shoulder injury on the Reds' pre-season tour of the United States, but Sunderland boss Gus Poyet remains keen to sign a player that he had on loan last term.
