Lyon manager Remi Garde believes that his players can bounce back from their disappointing 2-0 defeat away to struggling Nancy.
Second-half goals from Sebastian Puygrenier and Djamal Bakar consigned Les Gones to their third defeat in four games.
The results means Lyon now find themselves trailing third-placed Lille by seven points in the race for a Champions League ticket.
"It's pretty disappointing and frustrating given how the match played out, because we dominated without being particularly dangerous," said Garde.
"There is still hope for the season, and thankfully we have matches against direct rivals coming up as of next week. I know my players have the capacity to bounce back and I'm sure we won't give up."
Lyon will entertain Lille at the Stade de Gerland on Saturday.
