Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has insisted that Manuel Pellegrini was right to substitute him, and in turn, deny the frontman the chance to notch a double hat-trick against Newcastle United.
Aguero bagged five goals in the club's 6-1 comeback win at home to the Magpies on Saturday, before he was withdrawn from the fray by his manager with 28 minutes still remaining.
"It was a good decision from the manager to change me because it means no risk," said Aguero, according to Sky Sports News.
"I had a problem with my hamstring in the last game in the Champions League against Borussia Monchengladbach, but now I am feeling good."
City currently hold top spot in the Premier League standings, having played one more game than second-placed Manchester United.
