Fabian Delph has described his move to Manchester City as the "hardest decision" that he has ever had to make.
The Aston Villa captain completed his transfer to the Etihad less than a week after pledging his commitment to Tim Sherwood's side.
The England international said in a statement: "Leaving Aston Villa is the hardest decision I've had to make.
"My decision to stay was based on emotions and feelings for the club, rather than looking at the football opportunity placed in front of me."
Delph is the second English player to join the club this week, following the arrival of Raheem Sterling from Liverpool.
